Lee-Jackson & Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday - January 16 & 19

Town offices will be closed on Friday, January 16, 2015 and Monday, January 19 in observance of Lee-Jackson Day and Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Garbage scheduled for pick up on Friday, January 16 will be collected on Thursday, January 15th. Garbage scheduled for pick up on Monday, January 19 will be collected on Tuesday, January 20. The Town Landfill will also be closed for the holiday.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

Notice is hereby given of a public hearing to be held by the Town Planning Commission at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2015 and by the Town Council at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at the Town Municipal Building, Council Hall, 215 E. Main Street for the following purpose:

To consider rezoning Tax Map #234-2-2-T from PRD, Planned Residential District to M-1, Manufacturing. The request is made by Walter Siehien, DBA Blue Ridge Optics LLC, Bedford VA 24523
To consider rezoning Tax Map #213-7-2-T, from PRD, Planned Residential District, to M-1, Manufacturing. The request is made by the Town of Bedford Department of Planning and Community Development.
To consider an amendment to Article III and Article IV, Section 611.02 of the Town of Bedford Land Development Regulations. The request is made by the Town of Bedford Department of Planning and Community Development.

Information regarding these rezonings and amendment is on file in the office of Planning & Community Development.
Anyone who is in favor of or opposed to this request will have an opportunity to express their views at this hearing.
