Self-Service Dumpsters

At a meeting in June the Town Council elected to remove the self-service dumpsters from the Orange Street landfill effective July 1, 2015. Town residents are encouraged to use the landfill during normal operating hours (7:30 - 12:00 M-S) and to use the County drop off centers at 1974 Falling Creek Road (7 - 7 daily) and the main County Landfill located at 1060 Recycle Road off VA 43 (24 x 7) at other times. The recycling bins will remain in place.

An ID proving town residency must be presented when disposing garbage through the Town of Bedford Landfill. All customers are subject to charges for disposal.
