Holiday Closing - February 20, 2017

Notice from Bedford Fire Department. Should you have any questions, please call: 540-586-3433.

Recently the Town Council approved a revised PCA which results in an immediate decrease for all customers. Beginning February 1, 2017 the PCA will be $0.02036/kWh which is a decrease from the previous charge of $0.02471/kWh. The new PCA will be in effect until May 1, 2017 and then be updated and will remain in place until November 1, 2017. The PCA will be updated every May 1 and November 1 thereafter. The revised PCA is intended to provide customers with a more stable and predictable charge replacing the current charge which changes monthly. The Electric Department appreciates your support and is diligently working to provide you with the highest reliability of service at the lowest cost. Thank you again for your support. Respectfully, Town of Bedford, Electric Department

WARNING SCAM ALERT!!

Some Bedford residents have received phone calls from scammers saying they are with the Bedford Electric Department & that their power would be cut off if payment wasn't made to the caller immediately.

Bedford Electric Department wants to assure residents that they do not call residents in this manner and all payments are to be made only through the Town of Bedford. If residents have any questions regarding their account, please call: 540-587-6057.

Tree Trimming Notice

The Electric Department will be out tree trimming this season. It's necessary to keep right-of-ways clear in order to provide reliable service to customers and make a safe work environment for line workers. Tree interference is the number one cause of outages on the electric system. Please be cooperative and respectful of tree trimming crews working in your area. They will work with residents to minimize the impact on property and respect the environment as they work in the community.
Thank you for your support.
Respectfully, Town of Bedford, Electric Department
