Traffic Alert: Traffic Pattern Change Scheduled for Route 460 in Bedford County

As part of the project to realign the crossover and construct turn lanes on Route 460 near Ole Turnpike Drive in Bedford County, the speed limit will be reduced and a new traffic pattern will be in place beginning Monday, June 9.
The traffic pattern change will begin near Ole Turnpike Road and will include closing the westbound lanes of Route 460 and moving east and westbound traffic onto the eastbound lanes. This will restrict traffic to one lane in each direction. The speed limit in the work zone will be reduced to 35 mph. These changes will allow crews to reconstruct the westbound lanes.
The new traffic pattern will be in place for several months. The estimated completion date for this project is December 2014.
