U.S. 2010 Census

It's important for you to mail your 2010 U.S. Census form back when you get it. It's only 10 questions, it's quick and easy.
It's mandatory - but it's critical to our community for a number of reasons.

Census information affects the numbers of seats Virginia occupies in the U.S. House of Representatives. And people from many walks of life use census data to advocate for causes, rescue disaster victims, prevent diseases, research markets, locate pools of skilled workers and more.

It's easy to see what an accurate count of residents can do for our community. Better infrastructure and more services. In fact, the information the census collects helps to determine how more than $400 billion dollars of federal funding each year is spent on infrastructure and services like:

• Hospitals
• Job training centers
• Schools
• Senior centers
• Bridges, tunnels and other-public works projects
• Emergency services

Plus, if you simply mail the form back to the U.S. Census Bureau (it's FREE to do so), no Census workers will come to your door!

CENSUS INFORMATION IS TOTALLY CONFIDENTIAL. No personal information you provide will be shared with any agency - not social services, schools, police or anyone else. It is used for statistical purposes only.
