Welcome to the Finance Department on the City of Bedford's website. The Finance Department is comprised of the following City divisions:

• financial statements
• accounts payable
• purchasing
• utility billing

The department is also responsible for preparing the annual budget for submission to the City Manager, as well as overseeing the annual audit of City finances.

UTILITIES INFORMATION:

If you are moving into a new location in the City and wish to have utilities connected in your name, please give Rachel or Perry a call at 540-587-6047. An application must be completed at least one business day before you need the service connected. If you wish to complete the application before you come in, please download a copy from our website. You will find a copy of the residential application and the commercial application. Download the appropriate application based on the type of service you need. Please bring the completed application, a picture ID and the appropriate deposit to the Municipal Building at 215 East Main Street.

Deposit amounts are as follows:

If you own the land:

• No deposit required

If you do not own the land:

• A deposit is required
