The primary functions of the treasurer can be grouped into three major categories:
  • The receipt and collection of revenue
  • The safekeeping of revenue
  • The appropriate accounting for and dispersement of revenue

The treasurer's office takes payments for utilities, businesses licenses, and permits. Anytime a payment is made to the city, it goes through this office.
