CANCELED - Called Meeting - Town Council

Town Council and the Bedford Regional Water Authority representatives will be having a Called Meeting on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. This meeting will take place at the Town Municipal Building, Council Chambers, 215 E. Main Street and will be immediately followed by the regularly scheduled Town Council meeting at 7:00 p.m.

Thanksgiving Holiday - November 26, 27, 28

Town offices will be closed at NOON on Wednesday, November 26, and all day on Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28. Garbage scheduled for pick up on Thursday, November 27 will be collected on Wednesday, November 26. Garbage scheduled for pick up on Friday, November 28 will be collected on Monday, December 1.


The Town of Bedford’s Personal Property and Real Estate Taxes are due on DECEMBER 5, 2014. If you have questions regarding the Town of Bedford’s taxes, please call: 540-587-6057.


Notice is hereby given of a public hearing to be held by the Town Planning Commission at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2014 and Town Council at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at the Town Municipal Building, Council Hall, 215 E. Main Street for the following purpose:

To consider an amendment to Section 904 of the Town of Bedford Land Development Sign Regulations, to allow digital signage provided that it is located on streets or highways with a minimum posted speed limit of 45 miles per hour and with restrictions to size and imaging.

Information regarding this amendment is on file in the office of Planning & Community Development.
Anyone who is in favor of or opposed to this request will have an opportunity to express their views at this hearing.
