Some Bedford residents have received phone calls from scammers saying they are with the Bedford Electric Department & that their power would be cut off if payment wasn't made to the caller immediately.

Bedford Electric Department wants to assure residents that they do not call residents in this manner and all payments are to be made only through the Town of Bedford. If residents have any questions regarding their account, please call: 540-587-6057.

Have You Checked Your Smoke Detectors?

The Bedford Fire Department strongly encourages all residents to check the operation of their smoke detectors. If any resident is in need of assistance with changing detector batteries or installing new ones, you may call: 540-586-3433 to arrange for someone to come to your home to do so (no fee).
