Cop Camp 2013 Donations
The Bedford Police Department is now accepting donations for the 2013 Cop Camp. We will be accepting drinks (diet/regular/caffeine free),
water, lemonade, Gatorade style drinks as well as monetary donations. Donations may be mailed or dropped off at the Police Department located
at 215 E. Main Street, Bedford, VA 24523. Any donations are greatly appreciated. If you have any questions regarding a donation, please call:

Cop Camp 2013
The Bedford Police Department and the Bedford County Sheriff's Office
will be hosting Cop Camp 2013 on July 8 - 12. The camp runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Kids ages 9 through 14
are invited to enroll. Registration begins on May 28th at 8:30 a.m. in the Bedford Police Department. There
are a limited number of available vacancies. All forms must be completed on the day you come in. First come, first
serve basis! Please call the City of Bedford Police Department at 587-6011 for more information.
Safety Day at Centerfest:
On September 29, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. the Bedford Police Department will be hosting Safety Day at Centerfest.
There will be police vehicles, fire trucks, rescue squads and rescue equipment. There will also be safety displays, police car
show to benefit Special Olympics and a child safety seat check. We hope to see you there!
Business Watch:
For years, the Neighborhood Awareness program sponsored by the Bedford Police Department has proven to be one of the most
effective means of crime prevention available for residents. Now we're initiating Business Watch, a crime
prevention alliance of local businesses and their employees and the Bedford Police Department to help reduce and prevent
crimes occurring in our business community.
Meetings will be held on the First Wednesday of each month. If you are a business owner or merchant,
we encourage you to attend. Together we can work towards securing your business against crime.

3rd Annual Police Car Show:
Join us for out 3rd Annual Police Car Show! The event will be held during Centerfest on September 29, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
at 212 East Main Street (Parking Lot of the Main Street United Methodist Church). There will be law enforcement vehicles from all around
the area. The department vehicle with the most votes wins bragging rights and a trophy! Everyone can participate, votes only
cost one penny each. This event is sponsored by Southern Police Equipment and all funds raised will be donated to Special Olympics.

Come join us as we celebrate safety and crime prevention successes in our community! On October 11th, communities nationwide
will be joining forces to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, strengthen neighborhood spirit and community/police
partnership.
A special evening event will be held at the Bedford Farmer's Market on October 11, 2012 from 6:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Send a message
