Landfill/Recycling

The Landfill Division is responsible for disposal of all solid waste for the town. The Landfill is constructed and operated in accordance with all current environmental regulations.

Item Policies

All brush and wood pallets received are shredded and sent off site to be mulched or composted. Leaves and yard debris are composted on site and sold to the public for a small fee ($5 per ton). Old appliances and other metals are hauled to shredder and sold for scrap. Old tires are collected and sent to a tire recycling facility.
