Halloween 2020

Halloween 2020

Some communities in Virginia choose the date, time, and other restrictions associated with Halloween “trick or treating;” the Town of Bedford does not. We encourage those who choose to participate in trick or treating to plan ahead and exercise caution. Citizens are encouraged to use flashlights when walking on neighborhood streets and to supervise children as they go from house to house. The Town also encourages those driving around the community during the evening hours on October 31st to exercise extra caution in light of potential weather-related conditions as well as the likely presence of trick or treaters on or near neighborhood streets.

Those choosing to participate this year should also be mindful of applicable policies and directives related to Executive Orders of the Governor of Virginia, the Virginia Department of Health, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
