  2. Three Local Artists Featured at Goose Creek Studio on 2nd Friday in July

    July 12, 2019, 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Goose Creek Studio

Landscape painter Robert Shepperd, who is from Evington, VA, will be featured in the main gallery at Goose Creek Studio. Growing up in South Florida, Shepperd developed a deep appreciation of the outdoors and the water. His love of water is reflected in his paintings of the local landscape. To date, he has created over 150 paintings featuring Smith Mountain Lake. Alicia White Daily has been creating one-of-a-kind works of art in her “Hands on Pottery Studio” from her farm in Goode for the past two decades. Daily’s signature style of pottery is known for its bright colors and incised designs – often featuring horses which she also raises and shows. Daily and her family are downsizing and moving out of the area later this year. Melanie Layne Hylton, whose pyrography (wood burning) pieces were featured in June, will be demonstrating and answering questions her craft during 2nd Friday.
