Under FOIA guidelines, the Bedford Police Department has 5 business days to respond to any request. If the person/entity who is requesting the information, is not located in the state of Virginia it is at the discretion of the Police Chief to release the information.

PLEASE NOTE: Walk-In Requests for Reports and Background Checks will ONLY be accepted on the following days: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Any request made outside of the days & times listed above must be dropped off . A response will be given within 5 business days.
