Brush Pickup
Rules & Recommendations
Brush is only picked up on Mondays. The map above allows you to see which Monday is your collection day.Pickup is weather dependent. The Town may adjust the pickup day based on the weather that week. The same crew that picks up brush also cuts grass, so sometimes we have to adjust days depending on rain. Please wait until Thursday before calling if your brush pile has not been picked up on Monday. Thank you.

Collection Rules
Generally, the town will pick up any brush in a pile. However, we ask that you limit trees and tree limbs to no more than 4 inches in diameter and no more than 10 feet in length. Please separate loose leaves, grass and vines into different piles, and please keep your brush pile less than 6 feet high and 6 feet wide. Brush left by contractors will not be picked-up by town crews. Also please note that brush collection is not intended for complete tree removal or stump removal. Your brush pile should be placed at the curb or edge of pavement in front of your home no earlier than the weekend before your scheduled pick-up.If you have questions or would like to contact Public Works directly about your brush collection, you can either call 540-587-6081 or email Public Works. If you have a small amount of brush you'd like to take to the Landfill yourself (under 500 pounds is free!), you can take it by there any time the Landfill is open. If you're unsure, you can call them at 540-587-610. If you have a complaint about someone else's brush pile, you should contact Code Compliance at 540-587-6021 or email Code Compliance.
