Over the past several years, our town has experienced exciting momentum, from new investments and revitalized buildings to thriving local events that bring residents and visitors together. To build on this progress, the Town of Bedford has worked with Downtown Strategies, a division of Retail Strategies, to develop a 5-Year Downtown Action Plan, a roadmap for continued growth and revitalization.

This plan focuses on actionable, near-term strategies designed to strengthen the core of our town through four key areas:

Policy & Administration: Building strong partnerships, improving coordination, and ensuring our revitalization efforts are sustainable.

Design: Enhancing our downtown’s physical character through thoughtful improvements that make it even more welcoming and vibrant.

Tourism & Promotion: Leveraging our community’s history, arts, and natural surroundings to position Bedford as a destination for both visitors and residents.

Economic Vitality: Supporting local businesses, encouraging new investment, and creating an environment where entrepreneurs can thrive.
